About The Pilates Index
The Pilates Index aims to be the most complete and accurate source of information on Pilates studios. It combines public data from across the web to help people find the best studio for them, whatever that means.
How we collect data
We gather data from public sources across the web and triangulate claims wherever possible. Studios can claim their listings to correct anything we got wrong and add their own content. We work to keep listings accurate, but things change quickly — the studio itself is always the most authoritative source.
How we use AI
The Pilates Index uses AI to help process information, but AI is never the source. Every studio attribute and description traces back to one or more external sources, or — whenever possible — to the studio directly. Where we reference expert resources, we link to them with full attribution.
What we show and why
We show details that should help someone choose a studio that fits: method, class format, equipment, specialties, and details about the teachers such as certifications. We link to Google reviews where they're available, and we publish guides to core concepts in Pilates to help those new to it. The intention is to inform, not direct.
For studio owners
The Pilates Index is also a resource for studios. Owners can claim their listings to correct anything wrong and add their own content — a description, an Instagram handle, and more. Paid listings unlock photos, embedded Instagram posts, a direct booking link, and tend to get more attention from visitors. See our For Studios page for the details.
Complete and accurate information is the goal, but we can make mistakes, and there are limits to the coverage we provide. If you notice an error or omission, please reach out at hello@thepilatesindex.com.
